Circular design in practice
Less waste, more reuse
Circularity only delivers value when it works in practice. That is why Interalu focuses on design solutions that enable reuse, without compromising performance, comfort or aesthetics.
Why clicking is better than gluing
Traditional ceiling systems often rely on glue or permanent fixings, making disassembly difficult and generating unnecessary waste. Interalu deliberately chooses a click‑based system, allowing all components to be dismantled without damage.
Ceiling panels, support profiles, clips and piping are all designed to click together. As a result, ceilings can be fully disassembled, reused or relocated—without material loss.
Designed for multiple life cycles
An Interalu ceiling is not a single‑use product. Thanks to its modular design, the same ceiling can serve multiple buildings and functions over time. When surplus materials occur, we work together with the customer to reintegrate them into the design.
This approach reduces waste while increasing the residual value of materials.
Conscious material choices
Material selection is a key element of circular design. Interalu works with steel ceilings combined with PE‑RT piping. Unlike copper, steel does not oxidise and remains reliable over time. This results in less maintenance, fewer replacements and a lower environmental impact.
The principles described above are part of Interalu’s broader sustainability strategy. In our Sustainability Report, we explain how circular design, long product lifespans and material reuse contribute to measurable environmental impact across projects.

Circular design is not defined by one feature, but by a combination of thoughtful choices at system, material and design level. At Interalu, circularity is practical, scalable and proven.
