The challenge
We created custom climate ceilings for Mediavaert, DPG Media's new media hub in Amsterdam. The building is a large hybrid timber construction project with a strong focus on sustainability and a healthy working environment. The wooden structure of the building had to remain visible, while at the same time guaranteeing thermal and acoustic comfort.
A collaborative process
Within this project, we worked closely with main contractor BESIX. Together, we delivered solutions that were tailored to the wooden structure of the building and Mediavaert's architectural ambitions. Flexibility on site was essential: by switching gears quickly and deploying extra teams, we were able to help catch up with the overall schedule on site.
The solution
In total, we installed more than 12,000 m² of SAPPceiling® in various colors. Thanks to this approach, the wooden elements of the construction remain visible without compromising thermal or acoustic comfort. In this way, our climate ceilings contribute to a pleasant indoor climate and to the architectural appearance of the building.
