The challenge
For the redevelopment of the historic Gare Maritime in Brussels, the focus was on combining heritage with sustainability and contemporary comfort. The challenge was to integrate a solution that aligns with the multifunctional character of this place for meeting, creation and entrepreneurship, while ensuring comfort and performance in the office spaces.
The collaborative process
Within this project, Interalu worked closely with the construction team from the design phase onwards to achieve a fully integrated solution. The focus was on aligning the ceiling design with both the aesthetic and functional requirements of the building.
The solution
Interalu supplied custom-made SAPPceiling® climate ceilings for the office spaces. Each space is individually controllable, allowing users to set their preferred temperature. The system operates without air movement, resulting in no drafts, no noise or spread of bacteria, and optimal acoustics.
