The challenge
The 90-metre-high Louisa Tower in Brussels underwent an energy-focused renovation. The main challenge was to upgrade the building to meet contemporary standards of sustainability and performance, while preserving the original structure of the tower. At the same time, all project partners aimed for a future-proof building concept.
The collaborative process
For this renovation, the architectural firm A2RC and engineering office VEKA Engineering worked together with the various building partners to redefine the building’s performance and design. They jointly opted for solutions that would ensure long-term efficiency and align with modern sustainability requirements.
The solution
To support this vision, Interalu’s climate ceilings were selected and integrated throughout the building. These ceilings contribute to the energy-efficient upgrade of Louisa Tower, while supporting both thermal comfort and a refined architectural result in line with today’s standards.
